Art+History has partnered with the Providence Preservation Society to offer a free tour for 4th-6th grade students of the exhibit and the Nightingale Brown House.

The site visit and the pre- and post-visit materials focus on three core concepts:

  • Places inspire people.  Artists, writers and historians can interpret the same historic place or event differently.
  • Objects, such as artworks or decorative objects, tell us about the people who made them.
  • You too can be creatively inspired by special places!

All activities and materials are aligned to Rhode Island Grade Level Expectations and New England Common Assessment Program standards.
